sleepless (but sleeping fine still) in seattle

Bruce Almighty, Fifty First Dates, Strictly Ballroom, Seabiscuit, House of Flying Daggers, October Sky, Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events, Kinsey, To Kill a Mockingbird

Saw these movies in a month, during mid June till July, rented through netflix. 9 movies in a month ^.~ Had a problem with the first dvd of October Sky though; it had a scratch right in the middle of the dvd and couldn't play at all!

Now, let's start with Bruce Almighty. I've been curious with this movie for some time now. It's a typical Jim Carrey comedy with a somewhat out of this world storyline. The movie is all about the fun ways the Bruce character exploits his newly annointed powers. One of the funniest part of the movie is when Bruce controls the anchorman (who has his own movie now: The 40 Year Old Virgin), making him do all the outrageous stuff live on tv! The simple moral of the story is ultimately to use the gift bestowed upon you for the greater good.
