so little time so much to eat

warning: if you don't like food or reading about food or you're just plain hungry, I recommend you to skip this post :)

ivar's clam chowder ~ it's the best. sweet and satisfying.
spinach salad, coleslaw, caesar salad ~ all the vegies for brunch.
clam and mussel ~ quite nice. cold dish. not my favorite just because I'm not a huge fan of clams.
salmon teriyaki ~ this is very interesting. first time ever I've had a cold salmon teriyaki. it's sweet. delicious.
shrimp cocktail ~ jumbo cold shrimps. very fresh.

eggs benedict ~ something is sour. is it the cheese? is it the sauce? after a few bites, my pallet got used to it. by the time I cut into the egg yolk, I'm loving this dish.
sausage and bacon ~ every brunch must have this.
biscuit and gravy ~ my first time eating biscuit with gravy. never knew that this is how it's supposed to be. the biscuit is sweet and salty, the gravy is salty. yummy!
alder smoked salmon ~ the salmon specialty of ivar's.
smoked salmon chowder ~ sweeter than the clam chowder? that's what everyone says. it's quite nice. the clam chowder is still the winner though.

french toast and waffles ~ it's two different dish but I treated it as one. very nice just with the maple syrup. it's even better with bacon. anything is good with bacon :p

strawberry crepes with whipped cream ~ the sour strawberries blend perfectly with the sweet whipped cream. my last bite was actually a spoonful of whipped cream with a little bit of crepes. it's light and just right for me.

creme brule ~ didn't think I'd like it. I think it was acceptable because it was small. it's the regular size of creme brule really. not too bad.
fruits ~ honeydew, cantalope, pineapple, and sweet grapes.
chocolate dipped strawberry ~ dark or semi sweet chocolate. very juicy strawbery!

sunday brunch at ivar's salmon house. I definitely recommend it :) the place is beautiful. the view is downtown seattle and lake union. the atmosphere is nice. the service is good.

no after taste at all afterwards. seafood must have been fresh. the other dishes are good breakfast varieties.

a great place to indulge yourselves, enjoy the seattle view, and have a wonderful time with your family or friends :)

first blog of 2006 ~ Happy New Year!
