a walk to the park

in the mood of walking yesterday. it was such a beautiful autumn day! clear blue sky. not too cold wind. finally I walked to carkeek park. accompanied by david crowder band, can you hear us? cd. took about 45 min - 1 hour. the view walking there was breathtaking. the olympic mountains with a little mist covering the bottom part of the mountains. it was beautiful.
walked to the beach. some people were parasurfing. the sun was on top of the mountains since it was a couple hours before sunset. it was nice to sit by the water, just enjoying the beautiful view. walked back as the sun was setting. looked back a few times to see the silhouette of the mountains. so clear. so nice.

what I've been up to lately

It's been a full week, kind of. Monday I went to the eye doctor and my perscription was yet again changed. If I want to be critical, it doesn't feel right. My left is now not as clear as before. Nevertheless, I'm getting used to my lens and getting less sensitive about it, so it's working out.

Tuesday I drove Bo Bae to the airport, helped her as much as I can with her baggages and checking in and whatnot. Afterwards I met up with Ben for lunch at Denny's. Such a huge lunch. Of course it was breakfast for lunch :p

Wednesday morning I drove Ben to the airport. Yes, it was real early in the morning. He always takes early morning flights. Maybe it's cheaper, maybe it's better timing for work. It's all right. I kind of like waking up in the morning. The day seems longer that way. Took a nap when I got back. When I woke up, I could see! Thanks to the soft lens of course. It felt nice, to be able to open my eyes and see clearly ;)

Later in the day I helped out Sunny move to her new place, along with Henry and Jin. We had a break at Yunnie's after moving all her stuff to her new apt. After cleaning her old apt, we went for dinner at Siam's. We really enjoyed it. Delicious food :p

The campus was closed Mon-Wed. That's why I was able to help out and drive people. I don't think I've mentioned this. Last week I started working part time on campus at the International Student Program, as a student assistant. It was thanks to Jennifer and Ryan for letting me know about the opening. It's been quite interesting. Ryan has been making fun of me like crazy!!!

On Thursday Sunny and I cooked the korean dish Jin prepared for Sunny. We had a nice lunch. I then dropped her off before heading to work. She did final cleaning up and returned her keys. I picked her up after work, as well as Henry. We decided to cook for dinner, this time Sunny's chicken katsu. She made it with her roommate months ago. Hopefully it's still all right ^.~ We had that for dinner with salad and canned hot pepper tuna side dish. Nice dinner :D

Afterwards, we went to Kerry Park, to see the beautiful downtown view. It's such a clear day that we could see the stars and the half moon. After taking a few pics, we decided to go to dilettante at broadway. After finishing up the wonderful dessert, we got to talking. I don't remember how and why, but they started talking about spirituality and christianity. I was glad but caught a little off guard. It's never easy for me to talk about my relationship with God. Don't get me wrong, I want to talk about it, and I'd like to talk about it, but it's never easy for me to describe it. Maybe because I'm struggling with my faith and walk with God every day. In the end, I mostly listened to them. It was good that we were able to talk openly. I really hope it doesn't stop there and we'll be able to continue to talk more.
