one more time

it started at 4 am. if I hadn't fallen asleep, I wouldn't have missed it. instead, I got up at 6, opened the blinds of my window, and saw this.

the roads are white! again :) it was just starting to clear up. last week's snow stayed much longer than usual, thanks to the below freezing days. up till last night, some parts of the roads are still icy.

temperature is going up, to around freezing. the snow will be freezing rain. still possible icy roads. it's not warming up significant enough to melt all the ice away ;)

what a cold cold white winter we're experiencing this time ...

snow day 2007

I was wrong. this time around my speculations were shot down. snow has stopped. but the temperature is below freezing, thus the snow isn't melting yet.

even if it melts later in the day today, it'll probably refreeze in the evening. with that, the campus decided to close. I wonder if this decision isn't mainly because they hardly closed the campus during the more severe november snow. I bet that influenced the decision makers this time around. or maybe the icy roads this time around made it easier for them to decide. well, they made the decision. so, morning and afternoon classes are cancelled for the day. the campus is closed. no clear news about the evening classes...they either will decide later today, or they're just not being specific...

another snow day then today. second time this winter. first time this year.

another snow day? not really...

last night's snow scare came and went. it hailed. it snowed. just a little bit though. today is colder. but the day's just continuing as usual. it might snow a little bit more today. then we just have to be ready for a couple below freezing cold days again.

no more white days...
